No.373  Lance Corporal Daniel David Hanley
War Service

Daniel Hanley embarked from Melbourne on board HMAT A67 Orsova on 12 November 1915. 

He served, as a member of the Australian Remount Unit 1, Squadron 2, in Egypt and Palestine. 

In May 1919, Daniel Hanley was promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal. 

He returned to Australia on 26 July 1919 aboard troopship, Burma and was discharged from the AIF on 21 October 1919.

Post War
Daniel Hanley died on 31 December 1949.

A short obituary for Daniel Hanley was published in the Werribee Shire Banner, 13 January 1949, p.2.
